About Me

I hold a Masters Degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. I have over 30 years of counseling experience. I enjoy helping individuals live the fullest and freest possible life they desire. I could not imagine doing anything else for a career, and derive the greatest satisfaction in seeing individuals who may feel broken and fragmented made whole again.

On a personal note, I have been married for 30 years, have three grown daughters and one grand-daughter! I have lived in the Rogue Valley for 12 years, and enjoy reading, hiking, good conversations, and spending time with my grand-daughter!

My Approach

I believe everyone can reach an optimum state of health. To help assist clients achieve this optimum state of health, I employ an eclectic therapeutic approach with a strong reliance on emotional focus and well-being. The evidenced-based therapeutic modalities I use are Internal Family Systems (IFS), Coherence Therapy (CT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Intensive Short-Term Dynamic Psychotherapy (ISTDP). Additionally, I believe in a collaborative therapeutic alliance between counselor and client is a major component of accomplishing the therapeutic goals of the client. I seek to provide a safe, supportive, and non-judgmental atmosphere where clients may begin to explore healing and strengthening of the body, mind, emotions, and spirit. Through a collaborative effort between counselor and client, I believe the positive change a client desires can be achieved. My focus is client-centered with a strong emphasis on empathy for the life journey a client has been on and may seek to alter for the better. I believe in hope for all clients. My Goal is to provide an environment where together client and counselor explore initial concerns, goals, and discover strengths, weakness, and recourses to move toward the vision the client desires.
